Hacienda Camino al Mar

This is our first night at Hacienda Camino Al Mar and we have found the paradise that we have been looking for! Far enough away from the crowds of Vallarta With a staff that literally has made this a trip of a lifetime! And we just got here today! We will be back as soon as possible and Miguel, Olga, and Angie are the best chefs and bartenders too!

This is a very special home, and my family and I truly loved our 10 day stay at Hacienda Camino del Mar. We were 3 generations made up of 7 adults and 4 kids (3-10 years) and our expectations were far exceeded. Layout - The Hacienda is excellent for a large group and has a very authentic feel. The design of the house allowed everyone to be comfortable and spend time together in a relaxing environment. The Hacienda wraps around a large outdoor eating area where we ate every meal. The house provided endless beach towels, umbrellas for the beach, foldup beach chairs, boogie boards, netflix, internet and really anything else that you would need. Rooms - There are 4 large bedrooms on the second level, and 1 on the main level with an attached room with 2 twin beds that gave the younger children their own safe space to sleep. Pool - The salt water pool is amazing, about 4' deep, and was cleaned a couple of times during our visit. They have a large bluetooth speaker which keeps the party going at the pool until your brother starts playing country music. Keep your eye on the massive lizards up on the fence. Location - You can't really find a better location in Bucerias. It is only a 2 minute walk to the beach and the best restaurants, bars, coffee, groceries, bakeries tacos and more tacos are in every direction. We felt safe the entire time. We even found a local bar up the road by the highway that had a dancing horse. True story. Staff - I could go on and on about the Hacienda, but it is only a house and the staff is what makes this place truly special. Patricia cooks superb meals, Angelita keeps everything looking fresh, and Andreas ensures that you have everything you need - from pitchers of margaritas, restaurant recommendations, taxis, finding the English channel for football games or keeping the cooler neatly iced and packed. Andreas is a stud. Thank you for all of your hospitality! I cannot say enough about what a truly special place Hacienda Camino al Mar is and would recommend to anyone looking for a get away from the ordinary, the memories made will last a lifetime.

I'm mid-week through my stay at the Hacienda Camino Al Mar. All I can say is WOW! As Kevin from Home Alone said, "Now this is a vacation!" . If you have young kids, it's a perfect retreat! You eat meals at a table that overlooks the pool. Once the kids are done eating, you can supervise them swimming while you enjoy some cocktails. . The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The whole house is comfort and it has the perfect location! . Our hosts, Ivan, David, and Angela were top notch! So accommodating and welcoming. . Do not hesitate to book this place for a large family gathering.

Let me start by saying that we stayed in Casita Camino al Mar, which is the guest home connected to this beautiful property. The Casita is spectacular with: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large private pool, indoor/outdoor living and traditional Mexican design/decor. The location in Bucerias is wonderful - probably the best. I've been traveling to Bucerias for almost 25 years now (my mother lives there) and this was our first time staying at this beautiful property. Of all the things that made our trip special, the most memorable part was the staff at the Casita. We have taken many trips over the years and usually to properties, or on large boats, with staff. We have had the pleasure of being taken care of by many people, but Mary and Karen are at the very top of our list. Their service, hospitality, warmth, attention to detail and ability to go above and beyond our expectations was truly amazing. This is the only place we will stay, upon our return to Buecrias. This was our 11th year! I think that tells you how I feel about this place!!! Over and over, we receive the best service from the most incredible staff! Angela, Sergio and Marianne are not only the best at what they do, but most importantly, they are beautiful people and treat us like family. Sergio, the care and service were absolutely above and beyond again this year, Angela, the rooms better than any hotel I've ever stayed at and the food, well let's just say that Marianne should be opening her own 5 star restaurant. The best mole ever! If you want your family or a group of friends to have the trip of a lifetime, then I suggest you stay here!

Just finished a week long stay with all of our extended family- approx 20 people. Fantastic week, fantastic staff, fantastic food

I share our experience with some apprehension! Again our stay at this amazing place was very enjoyable, 13 friends from 50 to 80+ spent 7 days and had every need, wish and whim taken care of. The staff of host Miguel, “master chef” Olga and Angela who that clean up our messes and our rooms are our family, they make the stay so comfortable.

Second time staying here and still love it! So handy to the beach (right across the beach) and Karen’s Place, shops, etc. Swam in the pool every day! But the very best part was the hospitality shown to us by Ivan (concierge), his wife Julie(cook) and Angela (housekeeer). These three made our holiday WONDERFUL! Can not say enough about the food and service. Ivan even brought pina coladas to us on the beach! New owners shud definitely keep these three. And Shayne looked after us and made us feel safe during the Cartel “uprising”! Will always come back! Brenda . We six gals had the holiday of a lifetime and will always tell our stories to our grandchildren!!
